11 JU Chhatra Dal leaders served show-cause notices

Eleven leaders of different hall units of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Chhatra Dal have been served show-cause notices over alleged negligence in performing their organisational duties.

The information was disclosed in two separate press releases issued on Sunday (November 8) under the direction of university unit convener Zahir Uddin Mohammad Babar and member secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik. The notices were signed by assistant office secretary Zahirul Islam.

Those served with notices include Shahid Rafiq-Jabbar Hall unit president Zahid Khan; Nawab Salimullah Hall unit general secretary Firoz Ahmed Rimon; AFM Kamaluddin Hall unit general secretary Rifat Hossain and president Fahadur Zaman Shovon; Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq Hall unit president Saif Bin Mahbub and general secretary Firoz Ahmed Siam.

The others are Shahid Salam-Barkat Hall unit president Saidul Islam; Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Hall unit president Firoz Ahmed Papon; Al-Biruni Hall unit president Rakibul Islam Rakib and general secretary Minhajul Islam; and Bishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore Hall unit president Hamidullah Salman.

According to the notices, the leaders have been asked to submit written explanations to the university unit’s office secretary within 48 hours, stating why organisational action should not be taken against them over the alleged negligence.
