CTTC unit to grill Jahangir, Sohel

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit will interrogate and cross examine Neo JMB leader Jahangir Alam alias Rajib Gandhi  and Sohel Mahfuz to garner  information about the plotters of Holey Artisan Café attack.
A senior official of the CTTC unit of the DMP told the Daily Observer on Monday that after the interrogation of Sohel Mahfuz and Rajib Gandhi the CTTC will come to know the extent of their involvement in the Gulshan terror incident.After securitizing the findings from both the CTCC will submit charge sheet of the much-talked about Holey Artisan Café attack case, he said.  
Rajib Gandhi was placed on a six-day remand  on Monday in a case filed against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Sohel Mahfuz alias 'Haatkata' Mahfuz, who was captured by the police on July 8 in Chapainawabganj, is known to not only Bangladeshi but also Indian authorities as a top terrorist capable of terrible misdeeds.
A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Sohel Mahfuz, one of the masterminds of Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery attack case, on a seven-day remand.
Sohel Mahfuz alias R Nasrullah is said to be the Ameer of West Bengal unit of JMB. Sohel Mahfuz planned the Gulshan attack with its leaders Tamim Chowdhury and his relative Nurul Islam Marjan. Sohel Mahfuz supplied arms which were used in Holey Artisan Café attack.
On the evening of July 1 last year, five gunmen burst into the eatery and started firing indiscriminately. They turned off all the lights, held the diners hostage and sorted out targets through a test of reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
