BREB launches nationwide blanket drive amid cold wave

Amid a severe nationwide cold wave, the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) and the sports, culture and welfare council of 80 Palli Bidyut Samities have stepped forward to support cold-hit people by distributing winter clothing alongside their regular power services.

As part of this initiative, BREB and 80 Palli Bidyut Samities have launched a blanket distribution programme to assist vulnerable communities affected by the prolonged cold spell across the country.

The blanket distribution drive will continue as long as the cold wave persists, with priority given to the most affected and disadvantaged groups.
