Inquilab Mancha blocked Shahbagh intersection through a massive 'March for Justice' programme, pressing authorities to accept four key demands related to the murder of spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
On Tuesday, procession started at 11:30am from in Shahbagh intersection (claimed Hadi Square), effectively halting traffic at one of capital's busiest junctions.
Platform presented four non-negotiable demands to authorities.
First demand requires completion of trials against killers, planners, accomplices and shelter providers involved in Hadi's murder within 24 days.
Second demand calls for immediate cancellation of work permits for all Indian nationals currently residing in Bangladesh.
Third demand urges filing a case in international court if India refuses to repatriate killers who have taken shelter within its territory.
Fourth demand seeks identification, arrest and prosecution of fascist collaborators hiding within civil and military intelligence agencies.
Leaders and activists began gathering before 10:00am from areas adjacent to Dhaka University, arriving with banners and festoons while chanting 'We will not let Hadi bhai's blood go in vain' and 'My brother is in the grave, why are the killers free?'
More than 10 pickup trucks participated in the march, which travelled through Science Lab, Mohammadpur, Mirpur-10 Roundabout, Uttara, Bashundhara, Badda, Rampura and Jatrabari. Organizers announced the procession would return to Shahbagh for a concluding rally at 7:30pm, maintaining pressure on the intersection throughout the day. Programme coordinators said march pace would slow at certain points to manage traffic and public congestion.
Participants repeatedly questioned why killers remain free while their leader lies in grave, demanding justice before national elections. Slogans "Delhi or Dhaka? Dhaka, Dhaka" and "In a flood of blood, injustice will drown" echoed across Shahbagh throughout the morning.
