4 press officers at missions abroad relieved of duties

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed four press officers currently serving at Bangladesh missions abroad to be relieved of their duties immediately and return to the country, a notification to this effect was issued by the ministry recently.

The officials concerned are Sufi Abdullahil Maruf, first secretary (press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Md Arifur Rahman, first secretary (press) at the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Asaduzzaman Khan, second secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Md Imranul Hasan, second secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
