NSU organises book launching ceremony

The Department of Marketing and International Business (MIB) at North South University (NSU) held a book launching ceremony for the two books “Marketing- Applications in Bangladesh” (3rd edition) by Dr. Tamgid Ahmed Chowdhury and “Cases on Marketing-Perspectives from Bangladesh” (2nd edition), a collaborative publication by faculty members of the Department of Marketing and International Business.

Dr. Tamgid Ahmed Chowdhury, Professor in the Department of Marketing and INB at NSU, spoke about how his book aims to provide students with a local perspective in the field of marketing which is an essential component for their complete understanding of the local market. 

Zarjina Tarana Khalil, Senior Lecturer, Department of Marketing and International Business and one of the authors for the case book, spoke about the dearth of local cases and how the book aims at bridging the gap between theory and real-life practice of marketing in Bangladesh. 

Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor, North South University, Professor Nasar U. Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, North University, Professor Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer of the university, and Professor AKM Waresul Karim, Dean, School of Business and Economics of North South University graced the event as guests of honour. 

They lauded this endeavour by the authors in their respective speeches and encouraged them to continue this journey. 

The event was also attended by Deans and Department Chairmen from other schools and departments of NSU, industry experts, MIB faculty members, and students.
