Accused in triple murder case in Khulna nabbed

KHULNA, Feb 4: Police have arrested Bismillah alias Bismillah Sheikh, 35, one of the accused in the much-talked-about triple murder case at Darbesh Molla Goli in Tutpara under Labanchara Police Station in Khulna.

He was arrested around 11:30 pm on Monday from the Darogar Bosti area of Tutpara by Khulna Police. Bismillah is also a convicted fugitive, having an outstanding two-year imprisonment warrant in a case filed with Khulna Police Station (PS).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulna PS Md Kabir Hossain said, police conducted a raid based on secret information about his presence in the area and arrested him accordingly. He was later sent to jail through a court.

Investigating Officer (IO) of the triple murder case and OC (Investigation) of Labanchara PS Md Yusuf Ali said, several accused, including prime planner Shamim Ahmed, mentioned Bismillah's name in their confessional statements under Section 164. 

He will be shown arrested in the triple murder case and taken on remand. During earlier interrogation by the Khulna police, he had provided several important pieces of information related to the case.
He added that the charge-sheet in the case would be submitted soon.
