CA's wealth rises by Tk1.23cr in a year

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus's total wealth stood at Tk 15.62 crore as of June 2025, marking an increase of nearly Tk 1.23 crore compared to the previous year.

The Cabinet Division on Tuesday published asset statements for the chief adviser and all other advisers of the interim government, covering financial and non-financial assets, overseas holdings, and personal and business liabilities. The disclosures also include comparative data for June 2024.

Professor Yunus's wealth rose from Tk 14.39 crore in June 2024 to Tk 15.62 crore a year later. While he holds assets abroad, he has no personal or business liabilities. 

The increase is attributed to the encashment of savings certificates, growth in deposits, and inherited shares.

His wife, Afrozi Yunus, has financial assets of Tk 4.52 lakh, down from Tk 95.41 lakh, and non-financial assets of Tk 1.23 crore, slightly higher than the previous year.
