Election Commission (EC) has expressed gratitude to all involved for the smooth, free, fair and peaceful conduct of 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election and the accompanying referendum.

The commission also called on citizens nationwide to offer special prayers on Friday for the country’s peace, prosperity and continued progress.

In a press release signed by Director (Public Relations) Md Ruhul Amin Mallik on Thursday, EC thanked political parties, candidates, law enforcement agencies, election officials, domestic and international observers, media personnel and voters for their cooperation in ensuring a festive and orderly electoral process.

The commission requested that, after Friday prayers, special supplications be offered in mosques across the country.

It also encouraged other religious institutions to hold prayers at convenient times for the same purpose.

The EC expressed satisfaction with the high level of voter participation and the maintenance of law and order throughout the election, underscoring the nation’s collective commitment to democracy.
