Passenger bus torched in Savar

A passenger bus was set ablaze by miscreants on the Dhaka–Aricha Highway at Hemayetpur area in Savar early Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, a group of attackers torched a bus belonging to Hanif Paribahan that was parked near Kofil Petrol Pump and fleed from the spot.

Being informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after about half an hour. However, no casualties were reported.

Savar Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Arman Ali said that police have launched an investigation into the incident.
