Opposition Chief Whip and President of National Citizen Party (NCP) Nahid Islam MP has claimed that the present government has completely failed to control the country's law and order situation, leaving ordinary citizens in a state of insecurity.

Demanding the immediate resignation of Home Minister Salauddin Ahmed, Nahid Islam made the remarks during a press briefing with media representatives at the Dinajpur District Shilpakala Academy auditorium at 11:00AM on Thursday (November 5).

Addressing journalists, the Opposition Chief Whip alleged that the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has created instability across the country through repression while also failing to maintain an independent foreign policy.

Senior Joint Member Secretary Sarjis Alam, Dr Atiq Mujahid MP, and senior office bearers of the district unit NCP were also present at the event.
