Tarique Rahman to assume office at Secretariat on Wednesday

Following the formation of the new government, new Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will assume office at the Secretariat on Wednesday (February 18).

On the first working day, Tarique is scheduled to hold a special meeting with members of the cabinet and exchange views with secretaries, according to Cabinet Division sources.

He will lay a wreath at the National Memorial at 10AM. After returning from there, he will begin office at the Prime Minister's Office under the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat around 12:30PM.

There, he will attend an introductory and views-exchange meeting with officials of the Cabinet Division.

After the meeting, he will have lunch at the Secretariat and at 3PM hold a special meeting of the cabinet.
