Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday, June 20, 2026, said that he senses various forms of provocation and negative atmosphere creation attempts in Bangladesh surrounding the Prime Minister’s upcoming foreign visits.

The Senior Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Political Adviser to PM Tarique Rahman made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion titled “Bangladesh ICT Industry 2030: Challenges, Opportunities and Strategic Reforms,” hosted by Nationalist ICT Forum at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in Ramna, Dhaka.

Rizvi said that people foster high expectations of the current BNP government, which came to power through a long democratic struggle.
He noted that a government committed to nationalist ideals would not take any steps contrary to the country’s independence, sovereignty, and democratic interests. However, he added that the government must continue to move forward while confronting various ‘conspiracies’ and challenges.

Referring to the PM’s forthcoming foreign visits, the BNP leader said that a strong foreign policy is essential for economic development, trade expansion, and strengthening international engagement. He stated that the PM is undertaking these visits as part of efforts to enhance relations with different countries. At the same time, he observed that attempts are being made to create provocations and confusion surrounding the visits.

Among others, Nationalist ICT Forum President Engineer Rafael Kabir, advisers Dr. Maruf Mallik and Dr. Shah Zed Miah also addressed the event.
