Young man hanging body recovered in Ctg

Police have recovered the hanging body of a young man in Hathazari upzila of Chattogram.

The body was recovered from a rented house in Boaliarmukh Bazar of Chipatli Union of the upazila on Friday night. 

Deceased Ayan Das,25, was the son of Nepal Das of neighboring Raozan upazila.

Suman Das, elder brother of the deceased, said that Ayan had been suffering from various diseases for the past seven months. A few days ago, he left home saying he was going to work. 

However, the family is unable to understand why such an incident happened.

Chipatli Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Ahsan Lavu said that after Iftar on Friday, locals called Suman and told him that a bad smell was coming from a closed room. Later, he informed the matter to police.

SI Salauddin of Hathazari Model Police Station confirmed that he went to the spot and found that the door of the room was closed from the inside. 

Later, they broke the door open and entered inside and recovered the body.

The post-mortem report of the body is being prepared and sent to the morgue. 

Legal action will be taken in this regard after the autopsy is completed, he added.
