Modi extends Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to PM Tarique Rahman

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed warm greetings to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a message, Modi said that on behalf of the people and government of India, he extends heartfelt wishes to the “brotherly people” of Bangladesh celebrating the festival.

He noted that over the past month, Muslims in India and around the world observed the holy month of Ramadan through fasting, prayer, and reflection.

The Indian prime minister said Eid serves as a reminder of enduring values such as compassion, brotherhood and unity.

He also expressed hope for global peace, harmony, good health and happiness, adding that he wishes for the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries to grow stronger.
