2 killed, 10 injured in Gazipur bus-truck collision

Two individuals were killed and at least ten others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck in Gazipur metropolitan area on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:00 PM on the Dhaka-Tangail highway at the Konabari flyover.

The identities of the deceased and injured could not be immediately confirmed.

According to police, a passenger bus and a truck were heading towards Tangail when the bus crashed into the rear of the truck on the flyover.

Following this incident, two individuals died on the spot, while at least ten others sustained injuries in the accident.

Later, locals rescued the injured and took them to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Konabari Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Iftekhar Hossain said that legal action is underway in connection with the incident.
