Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday visited the BIAM Laboratory School in the city’s New Eskaton area.

“Prime Minister Tarique Rahman paid a sudden visit at the (BIAM laboratory) school this morning. During this time, he spent lively moments with the students and spoke with them,” Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said.

The little students were very delighted to have the prime minister close to them, he said, adding, some rushed to shake hands with the prime minister while some came for autographs.

The additional press secretary said after entering the classroom, the premier exchanged greetings with the students. Alongside studies, Tarique Rahman advised the students to engage in sports.

Seeing this interaction between the prime minister and the students, the teachers of the school became emotional, Ruman said.

Earlier, the prime minister laid the foundation stone of a training center-cum-dormitory building at Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM) Foundation and addressed a function at the BIAM Foundation Auditorium.

Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani presided over the function while Prime Minister’s Adviser Md Ismail Zabihullah, Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and BIAM Foundation Director General Md Abdul Malek were present.
