NSTU launches Inter-Department Football Tournament 2025-26

NOAKHALI, APRIL 26: Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) on Sunday officially unveiled the trophy and inaugurated its Inter-Department Football Tournament 2025-26 with the participation of students from different departments.

The opening ceremony was held at the university's central playground, where NSTU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Rezwanul Haque attended as the chief guest.

The event was organised by the university's Department of Physical Education.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Haque said victory and defeat are both part of the game and participants should compete with that spirit in mind.

"I hope our teachers will be present on the field and inspire the players," he said.

He also thanked the Department of Physical Education and all concerned for enhancing the beauty of the central playground and sought cooperation from all for the continued progress of the 
university.

The programme was chaired by Acting Director of the Department of Physical Education Dr Md Ruhul Kabir.

The event was jointly conducted by Deputy Directors Sanjib Kumar De and Mahmudur Rahman.
Among others present as invited guests were Acting Director of the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) Mohammad Nizam Uddin, Director of the Student Counselling and Guidance Office Dr Md Shiblur Rahman, Acting Director of the Public Relations and Publications Office Professor Dr Gazi Md Mohsin, along with teachers, students, officials, employees, journalists and players from different departments.
