MPs for reserved women seat sworn-in

Newly elected members of parliament, MPs for the reserved women's seats in the 13th National Parliament have taken their oath. 
The oath-taking administered by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed  at 9pm on Sunday in the oath-taking room of the Parliament Building (East Block, Level-1).

Earlier on Thursday evening, the Election Commission (EC) published a gazette declaring 49 candidates as winners for the reserved women's seats. Of them, 36 are from BNP, 11 from Jamaat-e-Islami, one from the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), and one is an independent candidate.

The oath-taking process has now begun for these members. However, one seat remains pending due to legal complications, as the candidacy has not yet been finalised.

The BNP alliance members are: Selima Rahman, Shirin Sultana, Rasheda Begum Hira, Rehana Akhter Ranu, Newaz Halima Arli, Farida Yasmin, Bilkis Islam, Sakila Farzana, Helen Zerin Khan, Nilofar Chowdhury Moni, Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Ziba Amina Khan, Mahmuda Habiba, Mosa. Sabira Sultana, Sansila Zebrin, Sanjida Islam, Sultana Ahmed, Fahmida Haque, Anna Minaj, Suborna Sikder, Shamim Ara Begum Swapna, Mosammat Shammi Akhter, Ferdousi Ahmed, Bitika Binte Hossain, Suraiya Zerin, Mansura Akhter, Zaharat Adib Chowdhury, Momtaz Alo, Fahima Nasrin, Arifa Sultana, Sanjida Yasmin, Nadia Pathan Papon, Shawkat Ara Akhter, Madhavi Marma, Selina Sultana, and Rezeka Sultana.

Jamaat-e-Islami alliance members are: Nurunnisa Siddique, Marzia Begum, Sabikunnahar, Nazmun Nahar, Mahfuza Hannan, Sajeda Samad, Shamsunnahar Begum, Mardia Momtaz, Rokeya Begum, Mahmuda Alam Mitu, Tasmia Pradhan, and Mahbuba Hakim.

Sultana Jasmine was elected as an independent candidate.
