Fire erupts at Kadamtali foam factory, 5 units battling

A fire has broken out at a foam factory at Kadamtali area of Dhaka, prompting a swift response from the fire service, which deployed multiple units to bring the blaze under control.

The fire erupted at around 6:24 PM on Friday at a foam factory located at Saddam Market area of Kadamtali, according to the Fire Service. 

The first unit reached the scene at 6:43 PM and three additional units were later deployed, bringing the total to four.

Officials from the Fire Service headquarters said firefighters are actively working to contain the flames. 

However, the cause of the fire and any reports of casualties have not yet been confirmed.

Authorities said efforts are ongoing to bring the situation under control and prevent further damage.
