Urgent directives issued for 14,000 recommended pry teachers

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has issued urgent instructions to verify the backgrounds, academic records, and documents of 14,384 candidates preliminary selected for assistant teacher positions under the Government Primary School Recruitment 2025.

In a letter sent to District Education Officers on Sunday, the DPE confirmed that police verification for the selected candidates has already commenced. 

The directive tasks officials with ensuring the authenticity of all submitted documents and conducting thorough investigations into the candidates' past activities through law enforcement agencies.

According to sources at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the recruitment process was finalized during the tenure of previous administration.

The selection follows a written examination held on January 9 across 61 districts, excluding the three hill districts.

Out of 69,265 candidates who passed the written test, a total of 14,384 were ultimately selected for the positions.
