Dutch delegation visits CPA to boost maritime co-op

CHATTOGRAM, May 12: A high-level delegation led by Koos Dijkstra, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Netherlands, visited the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA).

The delegation paid a courtesy call on CPA Acting Chairman and Member (Harbour and Marine) Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah at the Chattogram Port boardroom on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both sides held fruitful discussions on port operations, the maritime sector, sustainable transport systems, logistics development, and prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and the Netherlands.

The discussions focused on issues such as development of Laldia Container Terminal, port digitalization, port capacity enhancement, integrated services, shipbuilding, marine eco-system development, implementation of green ports, future port development plans, expansion of hinterland connectivity and carbon emission mitigation.
