DU hosts Buddhist cultural fest

Dhaka University's (DU) Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies and the Centre for Buddhist Heritage and Culture jointly hosted the first-ever Buddhist Cultural Festival with support from the ministries of Cultural Affairs and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.

On Thursday, Cultural Minister Adv. Nitai Roy Chowdhury attended the event as chief guest at TSC. 

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr ABM Obaidul Islam formally opened the event by releasing balloons on the TSC grounds before guests were welcomed inside the auditorium with a colourful dance performance.
