Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Tabith Awal visited the Bangladesh women's national football team's conditioning camp in Bangkok on Saturday as the reigning champions continue preparations for the upcoming SAFF Women's Championship in India.

Following the day's training session, Tabith met the players in the dressing room and conveyed his best wishes ahead of the regional tournament, while also encouraging the squad as they aim to complete a historic hat-trick of SAFF titles.

Earlier in the day, the BFF president inspected the Alpine Sports Training Camp facilities, where captain Afeida Khandaker and her teammates have been training during the two-week overseas camp.

He also held a meeting with Alpine Sports Group Managing Director Adi Sak Suntaros and thanked the management for providing excellent hospitality and support to the Bangladesh side.

Bangladesh is scheduled to play another closed-door friendly match on Sunday against Bangkok Women's FC, a Tier-1 side from the Bangkok Women's League, at the Alpine Sports Training Camp ground. The women in red and green had earlier begun their preparation campaign in style with a commanding 2-0 victory over Kasem Bundit Women's FC.

The team will depart for Goa, India on 21 May after completing the Bangkok camp. This year's SAFF Women's Championship will begin on 25 May.

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group B alongside hosts India and Maldives. They will open their campaign against Maldives on 28 May before facing India on 31 May. The tournament final is scheduled for 6 June.
