JKKNIU gets new VC

JKKNIU, MYMENSINGH, May 17: Jamalpur University of Science and Technology Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain has joined as the 8th Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) on Saturday. 

It is to be noted that on May 14, 2026, with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Professor Dr Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain was appointed as the JKKNIU VC for a period of four years.

After joining, the new VC paid homage to the sculpture of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, and the altar where former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia laid the foundation stone of the university on March 1, 2005.

At that time, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Mohammad Imdadul Huda, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Professor Dr AHM Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr Md Bakhtiar Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration Professor Dr Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar, Dean of the Faculty of Law Muhammad Irfan Aziz, Registrar (Acting) Professor Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, heads of departments and others were present.
