BD youth killed in Saudi road mishap

KAMALNAGAR, LAXMIPUR, June 1: A Bangladeshi youth was killed in a road accident in the Tomama area of Saudi Arabia on the night of May 28. 

Deceased Mahadi Raj Shuvo, 26, was a resident of Ward No. 8 of Charmartin Union in Kamalnagar Upazila of Laxmipur and the son of expatriate Mohammad Dulal. He was the joint convener of the Union Chhatra League.

According to the family, Shuvo went missing after going out for food delivery work in the early hours of the day of the incident. His mobile phone was also found switched off. Later, Saudi police informed his colleagues that he died on the spot in a road accident in the Tomama area. His body is currently kept at the morgue of King Saudi Hospital.

The deceased's maternal uncle Sarwar Hossain said that initiatives have been taken to bring his body back to the country after completing the necessary legal procedures.
