NARAYANGANJ, May 17: The Narayanganj District administration is set to organise a three-day "Land Service Fair-2026" from May 19, aiming to make land-related services more citizen-friendly, technology-driven and accessible at the grassroots level.

The announcement came at a press briefing held at the Deputy Commissioner (DC)'s office in Narayanganj on Sunday.

DC Raihan Kabir said the initiative is part of efforts to build a modern Bangladesh by ensuring easy and digitalised land services at people's doorsteps.

The fair will be held from May 19 to May 21 at the Upazila Land Complex premises adjacent to Khanpur Hospital in the city. It will feature a rally, seminars, quiz competitions and other awareness programmes.

According to the district administration, citizens will receive on-the-spot solutions to various land-related issues during the fair. Services will include registration support for online land development tax payment, holding entry and tax payment assistance, e-mutation application support, and issuance of certified copies of land records (khatians/porcha).

Assistance will also be provided for land acquisition compensation cheque distribution, online DCR services, and access to information related to the Ministry of Land's call centre (16122).

Officials said nine Land Service Facilitation Centres are currently operating across the district under the district administration to streamline land services. Plans are underway to establish such centres in every union in phases to reduce public suffering and expand digital land management.

Additional DC (Revenue) Naima Islam and Assistant Commissioner Nazmul Huda were also present at the briefing.
During the fair, visitors will also receive informational booklets titled "Land is My Address".
