Govt appoints Abdul Mannan as Petrobangla chairman

 
Additional Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division Md Abdul Mannan has been given the additional responsibility of chairman of Petrobangla.

He is working in the Planning Sub-Division of the division.

An office order in this regard was issued by the Administration-1 branch of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Sunday, according to bdnews24.com. 

The order said that until further notice, Mannan has been given the responsibility of chairman in addition to his own duties to facilitate the smooth execution of the official activities of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).

On Thursday, Petrobangla chairman Md Arfanul Hoque was removed from his post and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
