Prof Mohammad Iqbal appointed as DUET VC

Professor Mohammad Iqbal has assumed office as the eighth vice chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur.

The appointment was confirmed in an official notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education on May 14.

The notification said he has been appointed for a four-year term and will serve as the university's chief executive officer while remaining stationed on campus full-time.

Before joining DUET, Prof Iqbal served as vice chancellor of North East University Bangladesh.
