Farmers' PARTNER congress held at Singra

SINGRA, NATORE, May 18: A day-long Farmers' PARTNER Congress-2026 under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience (PARTNER) project was held with 70 farmers of Singra Upazila of the district in the Upazila Farmers Training Hall on Monday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Rifat chaired the meeting while Upazila Agriculture Officer Khandaker Farid moderated it and Deputy Director of District Department of Agricultural Extension Agriculturist Habibul Islam Khan spoke as the chief guest. 
Among others, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahadat Hossain, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Professor Sharful Islam Bulbul, Tajpur Union Parishad former chairman Shahadat Hossain, journalist and environmental activist Saiful Islam, PARTNER Congress School Member Achhia Begum, and farmer Ashraful Islam were present.
The speakers in the meeting emphasised on producing safe food free of poisons, reducing the use of pesticides and preventing environmental disasters.
