Workshop on SCI held at Kaliganj

KALIGANJ, GAZIPUR, June 25: A special workshop on ‘Sustainable Campus Initiative (SCI)’, organised by the Kaliganj Upazila Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Primary Education, was held at a local resort on Thursday.

Upazila Primary Education Officer Jasmine Akhter chaired the workshop and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ATM Kamrul Islam spoke as the main speaker. Associate Professor of the Institute of Education and Research, Dhaka University Dr Sheikh Tahmina Awal and Lecturer of the English Department of Adamjee Cantonment College Zubair Ahmed were special guests.

In addition, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zakia Sarwar Lima, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station Md Zakir Hossain, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Khalequzzaman Bablu and others participated in the workshop.

The workshop discussed in detail the strategies for building sustainable and modern educational institutions, increasing environmental awareness, building student-friendly campuses and improving the quality of the education system. The participants highlighted various aspects of ensuring environmental protection, cleanliness, greening and modern management in educational institutions.
