
RAJBARI, June 25: A guardians’ assembly was held at Rajbari Government Girls' High School on Wednesday with the aim of improving the quality of education, overall welfare of the students and solving the existing problems of the school.
Rajbari Deputy Commissioner (DC) Afroza Parveen was present as the chief guest in the meeting while the school’s Acting Head Teacher Md Sadar Ali chaired it and Additional DC Shankar Chandra Baidya spoke as the special guest.
District Education Office Technical Trainer Riazul Islam, Senior Teacher Md Habibur Rahman, and others were present at the meeting.
At that time, the guardians highlighted various problems of the school and said that there is only one washroom for about 1,200 students.
In addition, the issue of potable water shortage, low quality of tiffin provided to the students and various infrastructural limitations also came up for discussion.
It was also informed that out of the 52 approved teacher posts at the school, 38 teachers are currently working and 13 posts have been vacant for a long time.
In her speech, DC Afroza Parveen assured to consider the problems of the school seriously.
