Police recovered the body of an Indian national on Tuesday morning from the premises of the Indian Assistant High Commission (AHC) in Khulshi area of Chattogram city.

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Naren Dhar, who was employed as a security guard at the diplomatic mission.

Authorities were alerted to the incident around 10:00 AM when officials from the Assistant High Commission contacted the Khulshi Police Station.

A police team subsequently discovered the body positioned in front of a staff toilet within the office compound.

Aminur Rashid, Assistant Commissioner of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), confirmed the recovery and stated that the body has been transported to the Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination.

While the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, police officials noted that a formal investigation is underway. "The exact cause of death will be determined once we receive the autopsy report," Rashid added.
