6 more die of measles, total toll hits 481

Six more children died from measles and measles-like symptoms across the country in the 24 hours until 8am on Wednesday.

Of the deaths, three children were confirmed to have died from measles, while three others died with measles-like symptoms.

With the latest fatalities, the total number of deaths linked to measles and measles-like symptoms since March 15 has risen to 481. Among them, 80 deaths have been confirmed as caused by measles.

The information was revealed in the latest report released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.

Among the six children who died in the last 24 hours, two were from Dhaka division, two from Barishal division, and one each from Sylhet and Khulna divisions.
