Bangladesh suffered a 3-0 T20I series whitewash against Australia after a comprehensive seven-wicket defeat in the third and final match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday.
The hosts once again struggled with the bat, managing only 109 for 8 before Australia chased down the target with 54 balls to spare.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bangladesh endured another batting collapse despite a fighting unbeaten 61 from captain Tawhid Hridoy. The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 36 for 5 before Hridoy guided the innings to a respectable total.
In reply, Australia came out aggressively, collecting 17 runs from the opening over. Opener Mitchell Marsh smashed 60 off just 28 balls to put the visitors firmly in control. Australia reached the target in only 11 overs, losing three wickets.
Shariful Islam, Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain claimed one wicket each for Bangladesh.
Earlier, Spencer Johnson led Australia's bowling attack with figures of 2 for 6 from four overs, while Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa took two wickets apiece as Australia completed a dominant clean sweep of the series.
