37 families get tin, cash at Singra

SINGRA, NATORE, July 2: Corrugated iron sheets and cash have been distributed among 37 families affected by fire and natural disasters in Singra Upazila of the district. 

The upazila administration and the Department of Disaster Management organised this assistance distribution in the Upazila Administrative Building area on Wednesday afternoon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Rifat inaugurated the programme. Present at the event were Upazila BNP Member Secretary Professor Sharful Islam Bulbul, Singra UCCA Limited President and Tajpur Union Parishad former chairman Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Project Implementation Officer (UPIO) Mithun Kundu, Sherkol Union BNP former general secretary Joynal Abedin, BNP leader Khairuzzaman Chitu, etc.

UPIO Mithun Kundu said that the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has distributed 58 bundles of corrugated iron sheets and cash of Tk 1.74 lakh to 37 families affected by fire and natural disasters at different times.
