An agreement was recently signed between Bangladesh Bank and Mercantile Bank PLC to provide low-interest loans to entrepreneurs under the cluster.
Nowshad Mostafa, Director of SMESPD Department of Bangladesh Bank and Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and CBO of Mercantile Bank PLC. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, says a press release.
The event was attended by Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Mohammad Nizamul Hoque, SVP and Head of SME Financing Division of Mercantile Bank, along with executives and senior officials of both the organisations.
