Actor Shiba Shanu has been elected President and actor Joy Chowdhury General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Actors' Association (Chalachitro Shilpi Samiti) for the 2026-2028 term.

The Election Commissioner officially announced the results at around 4:45 AM on Saturday.

Shiba Shanu won the presidency with 243 votes, defeating fight director and actor Arman, who received 173 votes.

Joy Chowdhury secured the general secretary post with 237 votes, while his rival, actress Rumana Islam Mukti, received 179 votes.
