State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj on Monday said the government is revising the primary education curriculum to make it simpler, more effective and student-centred.

Speaking after visiting several government primary schools in Dhaka, he said the reform is part of a broader plan to improve primary education through better teacher training, technology-based classrooms and infrastructure development.

He said a comprehensive teacher policy covering recruitment, training, professional development and performance evaluation is also being prepared.

The government also plans to introduce smart classrooms, video lessons and modern assessment systems to identify learning gaps and improve classroom teaching, he added.
