Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met teachers and students from various educational institutions across Bangladesh who visited the National Parliament to observe its proceedings.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, during the prayers break of the parliamentary session. The PM exchanged pleasantries with the visitors, inquired about their studies, and encouraged them to acquire skills and contribute to the nation’s development.
State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman were also present at the time.
Under an initiative of BNP government, teachers and students from educational institutions across Bangladesh are being given the opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings. As part of this initiative, teachers and students from different institutions, along with four international students, visited Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and observed Tuesday’s parliamentary session.
Earlier in the day, the visitors toured the National Parliament complex, explored its renowned architecture and various facilities, visited the Parliament Library, and took photographs to commemorate their visit. They later observed the parliamentary proceedings before meeting the Prime Minister during the prayer break.
Among the visitors were 69 teachers and students from various educational institutions in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj, brought under the initiative of Narayanganj-1 Member of Parliament Mostafizur Rahman Bhuiyan (Dipu); 43 students and 10 teachers from Notre Dame College; an eight-member delegation, including four international students from the University of Oxford, facilitated by Bangladesh Legal Aid; and an 18-member delegation arranged by Member of Parliament Fahmida Haque and the Centre for Governance Studies.
