Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has unveiled two landmark publications on vetiver-based bioengineering(a nature-based technology that uses deep-rooted vetiver grass), marking a significant step towards advancing sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure in the country.
The books aim at bridging the gap between academic research and industry practice by promoting the wider adoption of nature-based engineering solutions for slope stabilisation, erosion control and resilient infrastructure development.
The books were unveiled during the Academia-Industry Collaboration and Book Launching Programme, organised by the Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE), BUET, with support from Samuda Construction Ltd., at the RISE Seminar Room on Thursday.
BUET Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Eqramul Hoque attended the event as the chief guest, while Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury was present as special guest.
