One more children have died with measles-like symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, raising the combined death toll from confirmed measles and suspected measles cases to 759 this year.
A total of 1,009 new cases were reported during the 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) report released on Monday.
According to the DGHS, a total of 759 children have died from confirmed measles or measles-like symptoms since March 15. Of them, 94 deaths were laboratory-confirmed as measles, while 665 children died after developing measles-like symptoms.
Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of infections and deaths. The division has reported 345 deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like illness, along with 59,724 infections.
