Ex-state minister Nazrul Islam dies

Former state minister for labour and employment and three-time lawmaker Nazrul Islam Chowdhury has died has died after a battle with cancer.

He was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.

He died around 4:15am on Monday at Evercare Hospital, his nephew Bayezid Al Nahiyan told bdnews24.com.

Nahian said Nazrul had been undergoing treatment for cancer at the hospital for the past several days.

His funeral prayers will be held at 11am on Tuesday at the Kanchanabad High School ground in Chandanish Upazila.�"bdnews24
