A total of 27 bodies have been recovered from different parts of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) premises over the past three months, with most of the victims remaining unidentified, according to hospital sources.

The latest incident occurred on Monday when two unconscious women were found inside the hospital compound and were declared dead after being taken to the emergency department. Authorities said the recovered bodies include both unidentified remains and a small number of suspicious deaths now under separate investigation.

Police said efforts are underway to identify the victims and determine the causes of death, while experts have called for closer coordination between law enforcement and hospital authorities, along with improved security and surveillance in secluded areas of the hospital premises.
