The government has appointed new Vice-Chancellors (VCs) to three public universities in the country; Netrokona University, Habiganj Agricultural University, and Kishoreganj University.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education issued three separate notifications in this regard on Monday, July 27.
According to the notifications, Prof. Dr. Md. Khaled Uz Zaman of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) at Rajshahi University has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Netrokona University under the provisions of the Netrokona University Act, 2018 (amended 2023).
Prof. Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoque of the Food Engineering and Tea Technology Department at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Habiganj Agricultural University.
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman of the Department of Zoology at Rajshahi University has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Kishoreganj University.
