Published : Saturday, 1 August, 2026 at 12:00 AM
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman on Friday said the recommendations of the Law Reform Commission would be implemented in line with the July Charter.

The minister made the remarks after inaugurating a tree plantation programme and month-long tree fair on the old DC Court premises in Jhenaidah.

He said the interim government had promulgated 133 ordinances based on the commission's recommendations.

Most of the reforms had been accepted, while a special committee had been formed to amend the remaining ones.

Asked about Sheikh Hasina's possible return, he said the government would take all necessary legal measures if she returned, adding that she would face the court and the government would act within the law.

On the Habiganj attack case involving NCP leaders, he said the case would be investigated impartially and legal action would be taken against those found responsible.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Rashed Khan, Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Noman Hossain, Zila Parishad Administrator M.A. Majid and others were present.    "BSS
