
PANCHAGARH, Aug 1: State Minister for Water Resources, BNP Central Executive Committee Rural Development Affairs Secretary and District BNP Member Secretary Farhad Hossain Azad spoke as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with local women entrepreneurs in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shukria Parveen chaired the meeting.
The chief guest said, “If you need our cooperation, we will provide it. You will receive money on a monthly basis through the family card. In addition, we will try to provide loans and support handicrafts through the family card.”
However, women entrepreneurs said, “We started our businesses with small capital. But we are facing obstacles in marketing our products. We are not getting any financial support from our families and banks. If we get administrative and financial support, we will be able to expand our businesses and be more encouraged.”
At the meeting, female entrepreneur of Panchagarh Afroza Rubad presented a documentary on behalf of the Women Entrepreneurs’ Council.
Addressing the entrepreneurs, DC Mst Shukria Parveen said, “Do business online. Many people now order products online. I will arrange a place based on your needs. If the quality of your products is good, their demands will also increase.”
Panchagarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Sharif Hossain, Panchagarh Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Anjan Kumar Sarkar, Additional DC (General) SM Imam Razi Tulu, Additional Superintendent of Police Shaimi Imtiaz, District BNP Joint Convener Abdullah Al Mamun Ronik, Municipal BNP General Secretary (GS) MA Bari, Chamber Director and District Juba Dal President Nuruzzaman Babu and GS Ferdous Wahid Russell were also present.
