Motorcycle rider killed in vehicle collision at Hatirjheel

A motorcycle rider was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel area early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Md. Hasan, 30, a Pathao rider.

The accident occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday (August 4). Hasan was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 6:00 a.m., where doctors declared him dead after examination.

Hasan was from Mirzanagar village in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali district. He was the son of Munna and had been living in the Hatirjheel area.

Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at DMCH, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy. He added that Hatirjheel Police Station has been informed about the incident.
