RAB tightens security ahead of Aug 5

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has strengthened security measures across Dhaka and the rest of the country ahead of July Uprising Day, to be observed on Wednesday (August 5).

RAB, in a press release on Tuesday, said that it has taken special security arrangements to ensure law and order during the observance.

According to the statement, the elite force has been carrying out its duties with professionalism, integrity and dedication to maintain law and order, ensure public safety and prevent crime. Based on specific intelligence, the RAB has been conducting regular operations and preventive measures to bring organised criminals to justice.

The force remain on high alert to prevent any form of violence, it added.
