Meet on livestock, poultry farming held in Panchagarh

 
PANCHAGARH, Aug 4: A free medical camp and a yard meeting on livestock and poultry farming were held in Jagdal Baniapara of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Monday.

Sadar Upazila Department of Livestock and Sadar Veterinary Hospital organised the programme to give farmers an idea about livestock rearing, vaccination against diseases and artificial insemination, care during pregnancy of cows, pre-partum and post-partum care. 

District Livestock Officer Dr Md Nurul Islam, Deputy Director of District Artificial Insemination Centre Dr Md Shahidul Islam and Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Mariam Rahman spoke in detail about the things that rural farmers should do in these matters. After the meeting, treatment of sick animals and birds and free de-worming medicines were distributed. Fifty farmers participated in the meeting.
